North Carolina 4-H Policies and Procedures

Please review the relevant North Carolina 4-H Policies and Procedures that are in effect during summer camp at the Eastern 4-H Center.

4-H Dress Code for Youth and Adults for any 4-H Event or Activity:

  • Shorts must be a minimum of a 5” inseam
  • Skirts and dresses must be at or below fingertip lengths
  • No sagging pants
  • No excessively tight garments
  • Blouse straps must be at least 2” wide
  • No spaghetti strap, halter, or strapless tops
  • No showing of midriff
  • No cut-off or muscle shirts
  • No offensive or inappropriate language, graphics, or logo t-shirts
  • No pajamas outside of the sleeping room
  • No low-cut pants or shirts
  • No attire with messages or illustrations that are lewd, indecent, or vulgar,
    or that advertises any product or service not permitted by law to minors
  • No adornments such as chains or spikes that reasonably could be perceived
    as or used as a weapon
  • No symbols, styles, or attire frequently associated with intimidation
  • Closed-toed shoes must be worn at all times, except at the pool or when in the cabins
  • Closed-toed water shoes must be worn during waterfront activities
