SUMMARY:6th Annual Environmental Education Workshop Week
DESCRIPTION:Get ready for a week of Environmental Education Workshops at the Eastern 4-H Center. We are planning 5 days of workshops dedicated to the enhancement of programs and activities for formal and non-formal educators. Each day will provide you with program guides\, activity books\, and/or new methods for your classroom.  Come for just one day or come all week. \n\nRegister Now \n Registration OPEN \n\nParticipants should come prepared to be outside. We plan to hold workshops rain or shine\, so please bring appropriate attire. Workshops will generally be from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm daily\, with an hour-long lunch break from 12:00 noon – 1:00 pm; buffet-style lunch on site. All program plans and activities are set to the current North Carolina Standard Course of Study and Essential Standards. Lodging will be available throughout the week and will be filled on a first-come\, first-serve basis. All programs take place in person at the Eastern 4-H Center\, 100 N. Clover Way\, Columbia\, NC\, 27925. Pre-registration is required by Friday\, January 30\, 2026. \n\nRegistration Costs \nIndividual workshops: Individual costs are listed below; some workshops are FREE! \nLunch: $12/person will be added to every registration. SUMMARY:Day Camp Session
DESCRIPTION:Register Now\n\n Registration FULL \n\nDay Camp\nDay Camp at the Eastern 4-H Center gives local youth ages 5 – 12 the opportunity to experience all the fun of summer camp while sleeping in their own beds at night! Day campers learn while participating in activities like kayaking\, canoeing\, rock climbing\, crafts\, sports activities\, archery\, and swimming.  \n\nCampers are provided lunch and an afternoon snack every day. Day camp activities are facilitated by well-trained Counselors and Program Instructors.  \n\nDaily Schedule: \nDrop Off – 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. \nProgram Time – 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. \nLunch – 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. \nRest Period – 1:00 – 1:30 p.m. \nProgram Time – 1:45 – 4:30 p.m. (Snack at 3:00 p.m.) \nPick Up – 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. \n\nWhat to Wear to Camp: \n\nComfortable Clothing\n1 pair of closed-toe shoes (required when not at the pool or waterfront)\n\nWhat to Bring with you to Camp:  \n\n1 pair “water” shoes\n1 pool/waterfront towel\nSwimsuit\nRain gear or jacket\nInsect repellant\nSunscreen\nReusable Water Bottle\nSmall tote bag – To carry and organize their belongings\nPillow with pillowcase & light blanket – To use during rest hour
